APCC and NPCC Partnership Summit 2021 #policeconf21
APCC / NPCC Partnership Summit 2021 entitled, "Policing the public: driving performance and securing trust", was held in Westminster on the 18 and 19 November.
The event brought together senior police officers, Police and Crime Commissioners, criminal justice experts, politicians, and decision-makers from national organisations.
Over the course of the two days, there were thought-provoking and challenging discussions on the major issues affecting law enforcement and justice, including violence against women and girls, police performance indicators, court backlogs and trust and confidence in the police service among Black people.
The Summit arrived at a pivotal moment in policing and panel sessions among key note speakers were topical, provoking interesting debate and impassioned discussion on and off the stage.
Journalist, BBC newsreader and presenter, Clive Myrie was the Summit Facilitator: "What an amazing, interesting, stimulating, frank conversation we've had about policing, consent and public trust"

The key question now: will the thought-provoking discussions of the last two days lead to positive, sustainable steps forward? https://t.co/GTKD7ksD3N
Passionate discussion at #policeconf21 about disproportionality, use of force, stop and search and culture in policing. Fantastic contributions from @CCAndyMarsh @dwaynamics @alison_4life @andygeorgeni on this absolutely crucial issue. The passion for change was felt. pic.twitter.com/82apAe7kWU
