Ron Hogg has held the position of Police & Crime Commissioner for Durham since 2012. He previously worked at Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC), where he held the national portfolio for the policing of football. He became Assistant Chief Constable in Durham in 1998, and finished his policing career as Deputy Chief Constable of Cleveland in 2008.  Before becoming a PCC, Ron additionally worked in Children’s Safeguarding at Sunderland City Council.

Ron is the Lead of the APCC Portfolio Group on the Workforce.
