Sue Mountstevens was elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. As well as her existing policing priorities, Sue has also pledged to continue to prioritise the most vulnerable in society.
Sue has lived in Avon and Somerset her whole life and before becoming PCC, served as a Magistrate on the Bristol, Youth, Family and Adult benches for 15 years. Sue was Vice-Chair of Independent Monitoring Board at Bristol Prison and worked as an independent member of the previous Police Authority. She was also a director of Mountstevens Bakeries for 25 years.
Sue is the Deputy Lead for the APCC Portfolio Group on Criminal Justice Efficiency & Effectiveness.
