The APCC works with PCCs to develop new delivery and capability models for policing that improve policing’s response to new and evolving forms of criminality. This includes mobilising the Forensics Capability Network (FCN) and contributing to the development of a new funding and delivery model for the National Police Air Service (NPAS).

On behalf of PCCs, the APPC’s national resource and infrastructure priorities are to:

  • work with government to help ensure that policing has the funding and resources it needs to deliver against the public’s priorities
  • drive the modernisation and transformation of the police service, realising efficiencies, and ensuring forces can take full advantage of new technologies.
  • support PCC-led companies, including the Police Digital Services and BlueLight Commercial, to enable them to deliver transformation, best value and efficiencies for policing
