Appointment of an Interim Victims' Commissioner
The Ministry of Justice has announced the appointment of Baroness Newlove as the Interim Victims’ Commissioner.
In response, APCC Joint Lead for Victims, Caroline Henry said:
“Baroness Newlove is a passionate and experienced campaigner with a proven track record of delivering change. Her reappointment to the role, in an interim capacity, will ensure the voices of all those impacted by crime continues to be heard across the criminal justice system. I look forward to working with her.
“Victims are at the heart of everything we do as Police and Crime Commissioners, and it is important that collectively we support the work designed to improve the services victims of crime receive. I’m confident that by working together we will make significant progress.”
