Response to the Specialist Capabilities Programme – Phase One Report
Responding to the Specialist Capabilities Programme – Phase One Report, Julia Mulligan PCC, Chair Police Reform and Transformation Board said:
“We very much welcome the Specialist Capabilities Programme Report, this is an early stage in the process and provides a good platform for discussions going forward.
“It is absolutely right that the service should look to consider how it delivers its specialist capabilities – to keep ahead of the criminals and provide the best value for money and service to our communities.
“There are a lot of positive proposals in the Report and we welcome the contribution and engagement of PCCs to the development of this work to date.
“There are areas in the report which we will need to work through in a constructive way and PCCs will need to engage with their communities and local stakeholders to ensure that this programme delivers both nationally and locally.”
