David Lloyd, APCC Joint Lead for Criminal Justice and PCC for Hertfordshire provides an update on his national portfolio.
"The key success is that central government has understood that PCCs are at the centre of the criminal justice system, not just their constabularies and therefore in Part Two of the Review about PCCs we're being given more powers. One of those really important ones is that we will have to chair Local Criminal Justice Boards, that we will be given statutory duties around that Criminal Justice Board....So we can make a difference to the whole criminal justice system."
