"PCCs are ideally placed to address gambling, alcohol and drug-related crime whether holding partners to account or commissioning effective drug services and getting people into rehabilitation .
They advocate four things:
1. tough enforcement, both on drugs and the violence around drugs
2. tougher sentencing
3. effective rehabilitation of those already addicted
4. impactful education, signposting the mental and physical injuries various drugs can cause.
