Stephen Mold is the APCC lead for the Police Digital Service and the Police, Crime and Fire Commissioner for Northamptonshire.
"The Police Digital Service was founded by PCCs to help make our communities safer. The company delivers better services and this year alone we've cashable savings of between £17 and £22m, which is really making a difference because we can only protect the public if we share our data more carefully.
"Some of the challenges include having a lot of vested interests. You've got people who want to stay parochial and keep their local systems but actually how you save lives and protect the public is about having consistency of data and making one version of the truth."
