Donna Jones, APCC Joint Lead for Victims and PCC for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, provides an update on her national portfolio.
"The Victims Portfolio includes Violence Against Women and Girls and there's a huge amount going on: In April we published our VAWG Action Plan developed in conjunction with the National Police Chiefs' Council; Last year we had the publication of the Governments End-to-End Rape Review ; and I've been working very closely with the Home Secretary, the Ministry of Justice and Home Office Minsters to make sure that PCCs, police forces and the public are represented around the national policing table.
"Prevention is better than cure. We are going to continue to represent victims locally, nationally to make communities safer and prevent incidents happening."
